Quilting is a beautiful as well as functional art form with a long, hard history in the United States. Controversy exists as to how much it may have helped the underground railroad, and exactly who provided what as far as designs go. We will learn some history and how to make a few blocks that would have aided travelers leaving the deep South on their way to Canada. Many points of views will be expressed by Wendy Shaw, Ilena Williams and Mildred Anderson....but mostly it will be fun.
